6. 특강주제 : Fluency in EFL Reading Instruction

The aim of this presentation is to encourage teachers to think about the teaching of EFL reading in a new light. I will introduce the concept of fluency as a goal in teaching EFL reading. The recognition of the critical role that fluency plays in good reading has been slow to reach EFL reading researchers and teachers. I will explain its importance and discuss why it should be an integral part of any EFL reading course. I will also provide some strategies and activities to teach reading fluency that the participants will engage in.
