Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara (UAG) opens the call for applications for its International Summer School 2019 program. In this edition, courses will focus on the Tequila Production. The languages of instruction available are English and Spanish.
This program will be held from the 8th –
26th of July 2019 at our main campus in Zapopan,
Jalisco. It will give you the opportunity to delve into an array of topics, all
while immersing yourself in Mexican culture and having the opportunity to meet
new people and explore new places.
Through the Faculty of Chemistry you will be able to learn about:
• History and regulations of tequila
• Cultivation of agave tequilana Weber
• Tequila Production
• Sensory evaluation
You will learn directly from professionals who oversee a variety of innovative projects, therefore providing you with a glimpse into some of the many challenges you may face in the field along with ideas on how to overcome them. Additionally, field trips and cultural activities will take place every week, giving you time to experience local dynamics and to reflect on the processes that have led faculty members to develop their strategies.
Participation fee: The total cost is $ 1,020 USD, which includes the courses, homestay with a plan of 18 meals per week, and the program registration.
