My research focuses on how individuals navigate social differences and emerging technologies in the workplace. Specifically, my work explores two central questions: (1) How do social and organizational signals—observable cues that convey information about values and norms—shape individuals’ perceptions of diversity, fairness, and status, as well as their subsequent career decisions and workplace behaviors? (2) How do emerging technologies, such as artificial intelligence, reshape workplace dynamics in ways that either amplify or mitigate inequalities, alter ethical norms, and transform the meaning of work?
My work employs a range of quantitative methods, including in-person and online experiments, field experiments, archival data analyses, and computational techniques such as machine learning and natural language processing.
I received my Ph.D. from the Questrom School of Business at Boston University. Prior to my Ph.D., I received my B.A. in Economics-Statistics and Psychology from Columbia University. I also hold an M.A. in Quantitative Methods in the Social Sciences with a focus in Data Science from Columbia University.
